The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has released a fresh power outage schedule affecting parts of the Western Region on Thursday, April 30, 2026, as ongoing disruptions continue to impact electricity supply.

According to ECG, the interruptions are linked to the recent fire outbreak at the Ghana Grid Company substation at Akosombo Dam, which has significantly reduced generation capacity and affected the stability of the national grid.

As a result, power supply in several communities will be temporarily curtailed as part of emergency load management measures.
