Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has confirmed that Ghana international Mohammed Kudus will be sidelined until after the March international window, dealing a major blow to both club and country.

Kudus limped off during Spurs’ 1-1 draw with Sunderland, and scans have since revealed serious damage to his quad and tendon. The 25-year-old is expected to miss up to 13 matches.

“Kudus is a bigger one, to the tendon and quad, and we don’t expect him back until after the March international break,” Frank stated. “That’s a blow for us, especially at this stage of the season.”

The setback comes at a difficult moment for Tottenham, who are preparing for a grueling fixture list featuring Premier League clashes with Manchester City, Manchester United, and Arsenal, as well as Champions League meetings with Dortmund and Frankfurt.

Frank insisted that while the injury is a huge loss, recovering Kudus fully is the club’s priority.

“We have to be patient and manage this properly,” he added. “The most important thing is that he comes back fully fit and ready to perform.”

Kudus, who has already registered seven goal contributions in the league, has rapidly become one of Tottenham’s most important attacking figures. His absence forces Frank to reshuffle his forward line during the most defining phase of the season.

The news will also send concern through Ghana’s national team setup. Kudus is expected to play a central role in the Black Stars’ 2026 World Cup qualifiers resuming later this year, and national team officials will be watching his recovery closely. Ghana are already challenged by injuries across key positions, and losing one of their most dynamic talents for an extended period heightens uncertainty ahead of crucial competitive fixtures.

Kudus is not expected to return until early April, when both club and country hope he can resume at full strength.
