Thomas Partey granted conditional bail after facing multiple rape charges in court

Former Arsenal and Ghanaian international midfielder Thomas Partey has been granted conditional bail after appearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London, where he faces multiple charges of rape and sexual assault.
The 32-year-old footballer appeared in court on Tuesday, following formal charges filed by the UK’s Metropolitan Police, which include five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.
Partey has denied all allegations.
The charges are the result of a three-year investigation into alleged incidents involving three separate women.
According to authorities, the charges consist of two counts of rape involving one woman, three counts of rape involving a second woman, and one count of sexual assault involving a third.
The alleged offences are reported to have taken place between 2021 and 2022, a period when Partey was actively playing for Arsenal Football Club in the English Premier League.
