GFA and betPawa Partnership
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced an expanded partnership with betPawa, introducing the innovative Locker Room Bonus initiative to the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League for the 2025/26 season.
Previously exclusive to the betPawa Ghana Premier League, the Locker Room Bonus provides players with direct GH₵400 cash rewards for winning matches, serving as an immediate financial boost and motivation for exceptional performances.
The official launch event on Friday brought together senior GFA executives, betPawa representatives, club officials, football stakeholders, and members of the media.
General Secretary of the GFA, Prosper Harrison Addo, described the move as a milestone for women’s football.

## betPawa’s Commitment to Women’s Football Development
Borah Ndanyungu, betPawa’s Head of Local Marketing & CSR, expressed excitement about expanding the scheme, reaffirming the brand’s dedication to promoting professionalism and enthusiasm in Ghana’s football ecosystem.
## Investment in the Men’s and Women’s Leagues
In the 2025/26 season, betPawa will invest approximately $380,843 (about four million Ghana cedis) to fund Locker Room Bonuses for both men’s and women’s Premier League teams.
Under the scheme, every player in a winning matchday squad will receive a GH₵400 reward.
Beauty Abena Julius, captain of Women’s FA Cup champions Faith Ladies, speaking on behalf of Women’s Premier League players, commended the GFA and betPawa for extending the incentive to the women’s game.
## 2025/26 Season Kickoff
The Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League is set to begin in October, with the Locker Room Bonus in place from Matchday One.
