ECG announces planned power outages for Tema and Accra East on Sunday, June 7 - See areas

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced scheduled power outages for Sunday, June 7, 2026, affecting several communities across the Tema and Accra East regions as part of planned maintenance works aimed at improving network reliability and service delivery.

Tema Region — 10:00am to 3:00pm

Residents and businesses in the Tema Region will experience a power outage from 10:00am to 3:00pm. The following areas will be affected: Wildlife Gate, Army Recruits Training School, PV Quarries, Eastern Quarries, Twin Quarries, Recycling, Inzag, Mawu Be Ji Be, Able Academy, Mavis Industries, Polyster, Community 25 Mall, and surrounding areas.

Accra East Region — 9:00am to 5:00pm

Communities in the Accra East Region face a longer outage window, running from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Areas affected include Doblo, Nsuma, Satellite, Sapeiman, Medie, Kotoku, Pobiman, Blue Skies, Hebron, Ahodwo, Fotobi, Pakrom, Obudan, Kwasikrom, and surrounding areas.

ECG's Message to Affected Customers

ECG has apologized for the inconvenience and urged affected customers to make alternative arrangements for power-dependent activities during the specified hours. The company has assured that electricity supply will be restored to all affected areas upon completion of the maintenance work.
