Supt. Augustine Dawson Amoah appointed head of IGP SOT, succeeds DSP Bawah Abdul Jalil

A formal handing-over ceremony took place at the National Police Training School in Accra on 7th April 2026, marking a significant leadership transition within the IGP Special Operations Team.
The outgoing commander, DSP Bawah Abdul Jalil, officially transferred command to Superintendent Augustine Dawson Amoah, who will be supported by three senior officers in overseeing the unit's operations.
