Soldier allegedly kills pregnant woman and fuel tanker driver

A fuel tanker driver, Ebenezer Kwabena, and his pregnant wife have been found dead in their residence at Immigration House on Saki Road, located in the High Tension Immigration area of Golf City in Tamale.
The couple’s bodies were discovered on Friday, May 1, 2026, in what authorities describe as a violent scene. Their three-year-old daughter was found alive in the room.
Suspect Linked to Family Weeks Before Incident
Preliminary reports indicate that the prime suspect, believed to be a soldier recently transferred from Takoradi to Tamale, had developed a relationship with the couple approximately two weeks prior to the incident. Witnesses say he had been spending time with them and occasionally accompanied them on outings.
Alleged Motive and Attack
It is alleged that during one of these outings, the deceased disclosed receiving over GH¢100,000 intended for fuel purchases. On Wednesday, April 29, shortly after returning home, the suspect reportedly attacked and killed the couple before fleeing with the money, believed to be proceeds from fuel sales.
The suspect, identified as Prince Krah, is also accused of leaving the couple’s young daughter alone in the room with the bodies for several days without food or water.
Police Investigation Underway
The Ghana Police Service, through the Saki Police Command, has retrieved the bodies and deposited them at the mortuary for autopsy.
A manhunt has been launched for the suspect, who remains at large.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the case, but investigations are ongoing as efforts intensify to apprehend the suspect and establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
