How to check BECE 2025 results on WAEC official website

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the provisional results of the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
Candidates can now access their results on the official WAEC website, www.waecgh.org, by purchasing a PIN code to log into the online portal.
In a statement issued on Saturday, August 23, 2025, the Council confirmed that schools will also receive hard copies of their candidates’ results through their respective metropolitan, municipal, and district directors of education.

Select Results Checker
Choose BECE School/Private from the list of examinations
Enter your Index Number, Examination Year, and PIN.
Click Submit to view and print your results.
Examination Statistics
A total of 603,328 candidates sat for the 2025 BECE, comprising 297,250 males and 306,078 females from 20,395 schools. This year’s examination also included 72 visually impaired candidates, 239 hearing-impaired candidates, and 161 with other special needs.
The examination was conducted across 2,237 centres nationwide, with 2,526 candidates absent.
Examination Malpractice and Sanctions
WAEC noted that several cases of malpractice were detected and addressed following the 36th Meeting of the Final Awards and Examiners’ Appointment Committee held on August 15, 2025. The sanctions include:
Cancellation of subject results for 718 candidates
Cancellation of entire results for 177 candidates
Withholding of subject results for 1,240 candidates
Withholding of entire results for 93 candidates
Additionally, the subject results of candidates from 119 schools have been cancelled, while results from 87 schools remain withheld pending further investigation. WAEC stated that all withheld results will either be released or cancelled by September 6, 2025.
The Council urged candidates to check their results only on the official WAEC website and avoid relying on third-party portals. Candidates are further advised to collect their printed result slips from their respective schools once they are distributed.
