Preliminary information indicates that all passengers and crew—including senior officials from the ministerial delegation—successfully evacuated the Embraer ERJ-145 without any loss of life.
Although authorities have not yet confirmed the extent of injuries, they state that every individual on board has been accounted for.
Officials report that the specific condition of the aircraft and the circumstances leading to the accident remain uncertain.
Aviation investigators and local authorities have since cordoned off the crash site to evaluate the damage and establish the cause of the incident.
The Ministry of Mines delegation was reportedly en route to Kolwezi for official duties tied to the region’s extensive mining operations, a key driver of economic activity in Lualaba Province and a major component of the country’s extractive industry.
The Ministry of Transport is expected to provide additional updates as the investigation continues.
